How do I pay a job Service Fee?

Service providers are charged a service fee on their awarded jobs.  Employers are not charged.

A service fee can be paid in the following ways:

    * When an employer sends payment through the Billing and Payment System. The job fee will be automatically deducted from the payment before the remaining funds are deposited into your Elance Account.  You do not have to worry about paying the project fee in these cases.
    * From funds in your Elance Account.  You can manually pay the fee when it's assessed 45 days after the project acceptance, if you have sufficient funds in your Elance Account.
    * From an existing credit card.  If you have a credit card on file, you can use it to pay the fee when it's assessed 45 days after the project acceptance. (If you are using a credit card to pay project fees, you do NOT need to authenticate the credit card.)

To see if you have a service fee due:

1. Log in to the MyElance Main Menu.

If you are not logged in, enter your Elance username and password.

2. Click on the 'My Account' > 'Scheduled Trans' link in the left panel.

3. Click the 'Pay Now' link next to the service fee that is due.
