How do I get paid (non-Escrow)?
The Elance Payment Service allows employers to send payments easily to service providers anywhere in the world at no additional cost. The Elance Payment Service also includes a free Escrow option. To learn more about about Escrow click here.
Elance generates revenue by collecting a small percentage (4% to 6% depending on your level of earnings plus a 2.75% fee to cover the cost of payment processors such as credit card companies and PayPal) of the billings you will generate using our Payment Service.
When registering with Elance, both you and the employer have agreed to use the Elance Payment Service to enable Elance to collect the fee for the services we provide. If an employer asks you to go outside the Elance Payment Service to negotiate lower pricing, please report the violation immediately.
When you submit your proposals or invoices, do not forget to include the Elance service fee in your calculation.
