How do I change my membership payment method?
Service providers on Elance can purchase a membership using a credit card (American Express, MasterCard or Visa), PayPal account, or the available balance in their Elance Account.
To change your membership payment method:
1. Log in to the MyElance Main Menu.
If you are not logged in, enter your Elance username and password.
2. Click the ‘My Account’ > 'Account Details' link on the left panel.
3. Under your 'Default Payment Account' section, select an account from the pull down menu and click on the 'Set Default' button next to the payment method you want to use now.
4. Please note that if you are selecting your Elance Account as your payment method, you must have funds in your available balance first. If this is related to upgrading your membership plan, the payment method will be charged immediately. If there is no change to your membership plan, the new payment method will be charged on your membership’s normal renewal date.
