What happens when I cancel my membership?
When a service provider cancels a membership, the cancellation will be effective at the end of that paid monthly billing cycle. The provider also has the option to download to a Basic plan so they can continue to submit proposals on projects, receive invitations to bid, and have their provider profile stay visible.
After the membership is cancelled, the service provider will still be able to do the following:
1. Log in to MyElance with their current username and password.
2. Use the Elance Private Message Board (PMB), Workspace and billing & payment features for all past projects.
3. Receive payments from buyers and pay project fees for all past projects.
4. Update profile/portfolio. The provider’s Elance profile, portfolio, feedback and earnings will not be removed. The provider may utilize all of them if they decide to purchase a membership in the future with the same username.
5. Receive and respond to feedback from their buyers for all past projects.
